Word first broke last night that the Cleveland Indians, who had previously decided to change their name without actually selecting a new one, had landed on a replacement. However, it wasn’t clear when they were going to announce their new identity, let alone what it was going to be.
Well, here they are, the Cleveland Guardians – as announced by Tom Hanks for some reason.

It’s not as cool as The Cleveland Spiders, and the name, itself, doesn’t really do much for me, personally, but I do like the logo and it’s not changing again, so … get used to it! Or don’t!
