Patrick Wisdom played hero with a bases-clearing double as the Cubs pulled off a mini-comeback in Colorado.
The only hitch was that Wisdom definitely thought he had a grand slam. We’ll forgive it, though:

That was part of a three-hit, NO-STRIKEOUT night for Wisdom that’ll get him some additional discussion tomorrow.
On the pitching side, Alec Mills gave up a couple in the first, and then cruised through the next five. A really impressive outing at Coors Field, where even this Rockies lineup still scores a ton. From there, David Ross got a chance to set up the relief arms how he wanted in a tight game the Cubs were leading, and I was intrigued to see that it was Codi Heuer getting the 8th and rookie Manny Rodriguez getting the very traditional save opportunity, which he converted.
