Are the Mets ever going to get themselves out of the news cycle? Are they about to have their THIRD GM in a year? This is just ridiculous.
Current interim GM Zack Scott – the one who replaced fired GM Jared Porter, and who recently threw his own players under the bus for having “compliance issues” when recovering from injuries – has been busted for drunk driving, per the NY Post:

Per the report, Scott was arrested in the wee hours on Tuesday, so soon after all the booing and thumbs down drama had been the entire focus of the sports world. I guess that won’t be the focus for the rest of this week.
The team has not yet responded to the latest drama. I don’t even know what to say, other than the Mets are unbelievable right now, and also: don’t drink and drive.
UPDATE: Well this certainly isn’t going to make things better:
On the night of New York Mets GM Zack Scott was arrested for allegedly driving drunk, he was at the Connecticut home of team owner Steve Cohen, sources tell ESPN. A fundraiser for the team's Amazin' Mets Foundation was being held at the house, and Scott and players were there.

Oh my. This is just so bad.
Here’s the Mets’ official statement, just released:
We were surprised and deeply disappointed to learn this morning about an alleged DUI involving Zack Scott. We take this matter very seriously. Zack will not be traveling with the team for our upcoming road trip while we learn more and determine next steps.
