It’s been a terrible year for Jason Heyward, but everyone can give him tonight. Because that was fun.
With the game in the 10th, tied at one, and the winning run at third base, the Reds brought in the extra infielder to the right side, hoping that Heyward would put one on the ground. He, uh, does that sometimes. So all Heyward needed to do was hit a medium-depth fly ball and the game was over.
But he hit it just a little further than that:
