Pre-Gamin’: Giants at Cubs (1:20 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread
Kris Bryant is returning to Wrigley Field.
Okay, now that that’s out of the way: Kyle Hendricks is on the mound for the Cubs today, coming off an unprecedented (for him) five-game stretch, during which he’s allowed 28(!) earned runs in 26 innings pitched. There was one good start in there against the Reds (6.0 IP, 1ER) and one okay start in there against the Rockies (7.0 IP, 4ER), but the other three? He didn’t finish the fifth inning and allowed 23 runners to score. Very uncharacteristic.
The Giants have the 6th best offense against right-handed pitching this season, so … it’s not exactly a soft landing, either.
Go Cubs.
