In the span of 30 seconds, Patrick Wisdom hit a homer to tie the Cubs rookie record, Brennen Davis hit a homer in his first Triple-A at bat, and Alfonso Rivas hit his first big league homer. Literally 30 seconds. I could not keep up with the HYPE.

Generally speaking, because of his level swing and slappy approach, you will only see power when he can really get around on an inside pitch and yank it to the pull side. That can get you 10 to 15 homers over a full season, but it’s just not going to be a huge part of his game (he had just four homers at Iowa in a little under half of a season). Still, I love watching his plate appearances. He just has such a good approach.
