The Cardinals beat the Cubs again today, raising their franchise record winning streak to a ridiculous 15 games. I’m sure they are having fun. The Cubs did a little damage early to old friend Jon Lester, but couldn’t muster much of anything after that. An Ian Happ homer in the 9th – tying his career high with 24 – was it.
The Cubs had a great chance to turn the game around in the 8th, with runners on first and third with nobody out. But Sergio Alcantara struck out, and then this happened:

From there, the Cardinals scored three more in the 9th, and it was put away.
