And with that, the NL Central has been eliminated from the postseason. Who’s to say, really, which team won the division or made the Wild Card or whatever. All five teams are in the same place now.
The Brewers season came to an end this evening with a 5-4 loss to the Braves, who took the NLDS 3-1. The game-winning blast came in the 8th inning, from Freddie Freeman, and off of Josh Hader:

That’s a particularly rough way to end it, with the Brewers’ two most important players over the past few years being the guys there at the end. It’s also just a rough loss overall for the Brewers, who were otherwise set up pretty well for the postseason with that pitching staff.
But no dice. Nothing doing for any of the NL Central teams. Who are all equal now. Dust to dust.
