The Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox will meet again today at Fenway Park, with both teams looking to gain a series advantage heading to Houston on Friday.
That comes after the Astros tied the series at two last night in a wild one. Red Sox skipper Alex Cora rolled the dice by going to Nathan Eovaldi in a tie game in the eighth inning, looking to take a 3-1 lead over the Astros in the ALCS. But, the move backfired (thanks in part to a dubious call), and now the Red Sox will try to regain some lost momentum in the final game of the series at Fenway Park.
Over in the National League and the late game tonight, we have the Los Angeles Dodgers looking to build on the momentum of their comeback win late in Game 3, hoping they can get even in their NLCS with the Atlanta Braves.
Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox – ALCS Game 5
The Astros scored seven runs with two outs in the top of the ninth inning, which is tied for the second-most runs scored with two outs in a postseason inning behind only the Dodgers 10 runs with two outs in the top of the first of the 2020 NLDS Game 3 according to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs. With the series now even once again at two and home-field advantage back in Houston’s favor, Dusty Baker will send Framber Valdez the mound in Game 5 tonight. The Red Sox are going with Chris Sale as they look to take a series edge back to Houston with a victory tonight.

Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers – ALCS Game 4
I would really love to see the Atlanta Braves knock off the Dodgers in this NLCS, so that comeback by the Dodgers last night was a real bummer. Trailing the Braves by three in the eighth inning, Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts ensured that the Dodgers wouldn’t go down by three games in the series.
Julio Urías will start for the Dodgers tonight as they look to even the series up at two at Dodger Stadium. Urías last appeared in the series in Game 2 when he threw an inning out of the bullpen and the Braves touched him up for a pair of runs on three hits.
