While I loathe to write this article — Why should I give you all a head’s up on the tickets I want for myself? — I have a boss who likes me to cover the news. And so it is my duty to alert you that REGULAR SEASON CUBS TICKETS GO ON SALE ONE WEEK FROM TODAY (Friday, March 18). That’s obviously much later than usual – you know, lockout – so we’ve been waiting a while for this.
#Cubs single game tickets go on sale Friday, March 18!

But as the Cubs’ tweet implies, you can sign up even sooner (today) for a chance to buy tickets before they go on sale and even be entered into a contest to throw out a ceremonial first pitch some time this season.
The First Pitch Presale Access Program is your opportunity to win a chance to purchase single game tickets to Cubs 2022 regular season games at Wrigley Field before the general public. All fans who register will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a 2022 home game.
No purchase or payment necessary to enter or participate. Specific ticket purchase opportunity information will be shared directly with winners. See official rules and full terms and conditions for details.
You can enter that sweepstakes today through Tuesday, and the winner(s) will be selected on Wednesday.
As for the regular season, itself, that now opens for the Cubs at home against the Brewers on April 7 at 1:20 CT. Brett, Luis, Eli, and I will all be there … Patrick, who is a White Sox fan (hissssssss) is TBD. Maybe we’ll just make him cover all of Bleacher Nation while we’re at the game.
GO CUBS.
Oh, and hey, Obvious Shirts has some new gear up and a SITE-WIDE 30% off sale going on through Sunday. Hop to it so you can be decked out.
