Pre-Gamin’: Padres at Cubs (3:05 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

Alright, now we’re talking. This is a Cubs game – at a reasonable hour – with a lot to see.

In the lineup, we’ve got Opening Day starters (Willson Contreras, Patrick Wisdom), guys battling for playing time (Michael Hermosillo, Alfonso Rivas, Jason Heyward), guys battling for the roster (Sergio Alcácantara), and even some big-time prospects (Brennen Davis, Alexandar Canario, and Andy Weber). Chase Strumpf should also make an appearance.

And on the mound, Justin Steele will make his first start of the spring, as one of the pitchers fighting for a spot in the starting rotation right out of the gate. That’s a lot of good stuff.

Meanwhile, the Padres are starting a couple of the top prospects in MLB, CJ Abrams (No. 9) and Luis Campusano (No. 53), as well as our old friend Victor Caratini.
