Albert Almora is still grinding. Nothing but respect for it.
The former long-time Chicago Cubs outfielder played last season (mostly in the minors) in the Mets organization, and this year he’ll come back to the NL Central:

Almora probably made a good choice for his next organization, because the Reds have already started to unload, and it’s likely to be as good a location as any to try to eventually get back into the big leagues. Almora was about a league average bat at Triple-A last year, and hasn’t yet turned 28. It’s still conceivable that he could manage some years as a big league 4th/5th outfielder on the right club, so all the best to him.
