Chicago Cubs Announce 2022 Promotional Schedule

Talk about something that has been blown up the last couple years for a variety of reasons. Cancelled games. No fans in the stands. Massive midseason sell-offs.

OK, but we’re back to normal-ish? So the Chicago Cubs are now able to announce, in advance of a season, their promotional schedule for the year ahead. Ozark Day, eh? I guess be careful on April 24? Or at least bring some money to launder. Oh, and you should definitely read too much into the bobblehead slate …

Here’s the full release from the Cubs:

CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today released the schedule for promotional items, theme nights and Special Ticket Offers for the 2022 regular season which includes five bobbleheads on select Saturdays in May, August and September, the return of #BudFridays and seven theme nights such as WWE Day, Shark Week Night and the ever-popular Sesame Street Day.

PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Fans can get their hands on five new bobbleheads this year on select Saturdays during the regular season after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Cubs manager David Ross kicks off the bobblehead series Saturday, May 7, and fan-favorite Marcus Stroman concludes the series in mid-September. Bobbleheads will be given to the first 10,000 fans who enter Wrigley Field. The bobblehead schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 7: David Ross bobblehead presented by Pepsi/Navy Pier
Saturday, May 21: Patrick Wisdom bobblehead presented by Wintrust
Saturday, August 6: Nick Madrigal bobblehead presented by Wendella
Saturday, September 10: Nico Hoerner bobblehead presented by Reynolds/Hefty
Saturday, September 17: Marcus Stroman bobblehead presented by Garrett Popcorn Shops

New this year, fans also have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win an additional prize through a QR code located on the bobblehead box. QR codes will be included on all bobbleheads except for the David Ross bobblehead and the additional prize will be communicated to fans ahead of each game.

#BudFridays are back with six “best of” bleacher giveaways including an assortment of hats, shirts and a fanny pack, all of which feature a retro neon thematic. The first 5,000 fans who enter through the Budweiser Bleacher Gate and are 21 years of age or older are eligible to receive these promotional items.

Fans also can enjoy 12 different gate giveaways this regular season such as a Knit Glove Koozie presented by Jim Beam, 1984 Replica Jersey presented by Benjamin Moore, Shoulder Cooler presented by Pepsi, Clear Travel Bag presented by American Airlines and more. The first 10,000 fans are eligible to receive these gate giveaways.
