It Just Happened AGAIN: Nick Castellanos Interrupts a Serious Moment with a Notable Hit

Chicago Cubs

It is a running joke on Twitter that, when Nick Castellanos hits a homer or gets a big hit, something bad must’ve happened at the same time. The joke’s roots are traced back to the infamous interrupted Thom Brennaman apology, but there have been other instances of Castellanos interrupting bad moments with a big hit.

Incredibly – INCREDIBLY – it just happened again:

Notching his first hit with the Phillies precisely as the Blue Jays broadcast is wrapping its very serious discussion of the team’s pitching coach being charged with a DUI … Nick Castellanos cannot be stopped. Where evil or drama or sullenness lingers, he will be there with a deep drive to left (or a little looper that’s gonna drop for a base hit).
