Ian Happ continued his hot start to the season today with another couple hits and a walk, but unfortunately he just got hit on the back knee and had to leave the game. It was the third time a Cubs batter has been hit today.
He was able to eventually walk off on his own, but all you can do is hope that this was just a matter of being very painful (and, since it’s a blowout, just take him out immediately). More info as soon as we have it.

The Brewers have hit the Cubs 27 times now since 2020, the most by any team against any other team. It’s really, really exasperating at this point. (Instant Update: Keegan Thompson just plunked Andrew McCutchen and the benches cleared.)
UPDATE: Pretty much have to get X-rays after a HBP like that:
Ian Happ is undergoing x rays on his left knee after taking a pitch off his kneecap, David Ross said. Ross said things are “pointing for the good”

And now we just cross our fingers as hard as possible. Even if the X-rays come back negative – which would obviously be good! – Happ might still miss some time if it’s a bad bone bruise. That is some seriously painful stuff.
UPDATE 2: Whew. Ok. This is a start to me fully exhaling:
Ian Happ said he was hit on the kneecap by that pitch. Good news for Cubs: X-rays came back negative.
