Earlier today, we discussed the looming possibility that Frank “The Tank” Schwindel turns back into a pumpkin at midnight. The entire conversation was based largely on projections that had nothing to do with his slow start this season, but the slow start was lingering on the mind nonetheless.
Well, after beating out an infield single early in the game, Schwindel finally uncorked his first homer of the season, an oppo-taco to increase the Cubs lead 4-2.

He didn’t get all of that one (98 MPH, 379 feet), but Mamma always says “Don’t look a gift-Coors in the mouth” (it’s too early for me to be making jokes that bad).
Frank Schwindel this morning: .235/.316/.235 (67 wRC+)
Frank Schwindel right now: .300/.364/.450 (138 wRC+)
