Wow. That’s a big one for the story of David Ross, the manager.
Down 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning (with two outs and Frank Schwindel on third base), Ross made a surprising move to pinch-hit for Jason Heyward against the Rays lefty, Josh Fleming, bringing in Patrick Wisdom off the bench.
The move made perfect sense on paper, but a fourth-inning pinch-hitter (in a league with the DH) is not something you see often. But boy did it pay off. Wisdom immediately hit a home run that brought the Cubs within a run.

102.6 MPH off the bat.
That’s two home runs in two days for Wisdom!
Patrick Wisdom's slash line is up to .265/.316/.588 (144 wRC+).
What an unreal rebound after a horrible start to the year.

Oh, and now Patrick Wisdom is playing center field.
