WATCH: Every 3000th Career Hit (Recorded) All in One Place!

In all of MLB history, only 33 batters have recorded 3,000 regular season hits, making it one of the most exclusive and impressive clubs in the entire sport. And on Saturday, Miguel Cabrera received his secret code to the door. I’m sure you’ve seen it by now.

(And here’s Hit No. 1, a walkoff HR, in case you want to see that one).

But if you’re anything like me, seeing one 3,000th hit just makes you hungry for more 3,000th hits. So I went searching for some of the others, when I stumbled on this video that puts them all in one place (well, all the ones caught on film)! It is very cool to watch the hits through the decades, noticing how different everything is, from the broadcast, to the jerseys, to the players and the swings themselves.

A perfect little time capsule of our sport and country in under 3:00 min.
