I’m *telling* you. Every night there is something really enjoyable happening down on the Cubs farm. It’s really making me happy.
Tonight’s installment? Top ten Cubs prospect Kevin Alcántara taking an 0-2 pitch the other way and out of the park for a grand slam at Myrtle Beach, where it is VERY hard to homer to right field.
KEVIN !!! 😱

Young man was PUMPED about that one.
It barely looked like he got any of that one! Like, it was almost off his hands. That is an absurd display of power for a guy who is still just 19.
Nice to see who was on base for that one, too:

Over his first two weeks at Low-A, in his first full-season league at just 19, Alcántara hit .213/.296/.298 (70 wRC+) and he was striking out over 35% of the time. Over his most recent two weeks, however? Dude is hitting .286/.410/.531 (161 wRC+), and he’s sporting a 16.4% BB/19.7% K combo. Just ridiculous stuff.
