Contreras, who has been catching all game and knows what calls are going and not going the Cubs’ way, couldn’t help but express his disagreement, and he got himself booted in the process:

It was the line-drawing with the bat that did the trick. Clearly, Contreras was just trying to draw a helpful line for the ump, who is not aware of what the inside edge of the strike zone looks like. Or perhaps it was art. Either way, Willson was tossed.
