It has felt pretty doom and gloomy today, and I’m not saying a win would change that, but at least the Cubs have taken the lead back.
After blowing a 3-0 lead, and then falling behind 4-3, the Cubs were looking cooked by the 8th inning. But Patrick Wisdom, who had already homered the last two games, sent one out to center. And then Wisdom’s good buddy Frank Schwindel followed up with a blast of his own.
For the second straight day, Wisdom and Schwindel went back-to-back:

There is nothing quite like the way Frank Schwindel rounds the bases after a homer. Like a kid who just hit his first little league homer. I love it.

I don’t know if these guys will stick long-term with the Cubs, but how can you not root for their success?
