NICO! Welcome back, kid!
Before the Cubs starting shortstop hit the injured list with an ankle injury, we talked a lot about how much better he had been seeing and hitting the ball than the results suggested. Well, last night in his first at-bat coming off the IL, Hoerner hit an RBI single into right field. And in his first start today, he went deep to left for his third home run of the year!

That homer wasn’t crushed (358 feet, 92 MPH), but he hit it high enough to leave the park.
