Christopher Morel hasn’t extended his hitting streak (yet) tonight, but he did get on base for the 15th straight game after an 8-pitch, leadoff walk. That walk extends his hold on the Cubs record for consecutive games on base beginning his career.
But his fun wasn’t over there. After Willson Contreras advanced Morel to second base with a rocket line drive into left field (115.1 MPH!), both Cubs stole a base and Morel was able to score when Omar Narvaez uncorked one into left field.
