Was there a position player pitching? Yeah, sure, there was. But it all counts the same in the scorebook!
After going 2-4 with a HR last night, Morel began tonight’s game going 4-4 with a double, before hitting his SEVENTH home run of the season over the left field wall. And at 440 feet, it was an absolute BOMB.
On Tuesday, he was slashing just .255/.320/.433 (108 wRC+), as David Ross moved him out of the leadoff spot all the way down to 9th to shake him out of his rut. And shake he did. After going 2-4 last night and 5-5 tonight, his slash line is all the way back up to .283/.342/.494 (130 wRC+).
I love this kid.
