In the bottom of the first inning of tonight’s game, Patrick Wisdom reached base on an 72 MPH squibbler to third base. The grounder scored a run, but it was among the softest balls in play you’ll ever see from Wisdom. .
That was not the case in the bottom of the second.
With the bases loaded and two outs already on the board, Wisdom sent one WAY out of the park to plate four runs. It was his 15th homer of the season.
Statcast had it at 108 MPH. What a bomb. Cubs up 6-0 early. Now, it’s time for Kyle Hendricks to throw some strikes.
