IT’S GONE! Seiya Suzuki Decides Walking Around the Bases Is Easier Than Sprinting
In his first game back from a lengthy IL stint yesterday, Seiya Suzuki rocked a liner off the outfield wall and raced around the bases at American Family Field for an inside-the-park home run. Tonight, he decided he rather jog around the bases than spring.
It wasn’t deep, but it was GONE.
Statcast: 101 MPH off the bat, 355 feet on a line to left field (yesterday’s inside-the-park home run actually traveled 44 feet further than this traditional blast tonight).
That’s two homers in two games back for Suzuki, and for the second straight game he’s given the Cubs a lead over the Brewers. It is so nice to have this guy back.
UPDATE: I just realized how far inside this pitch was. LOL.
