The Cubs Scored in the 9th Again Off of Josh Hader! P.J. Higgins Gives the Cubs the Lead!

Chicago Cubs

For the second time in three days, the Chicago Cubs SCORED in the 9th inning off of Josh Hader. That is seriously notable! He basically never allows runs!

Today’s wasn’t quite as exciting as the Seiya Suzuki inside-the-park homer, but maybe this one will come with a better final outcome.

After a Patrick Wisdom walk and a stolen base (great job, Patrick!), P.J. Higgins managed to get the barrel on a poorly-located Hader slider, and slapped a double up the line to give the Cubs the lead:

Higgins, a catcher by trade, but who can also play the corner infield spots, just keeps on hitting. I love having him around.

UPDATE: It did hold up this time! Cubs win!
