Chicago Cubs Lineup: David Bote Back In
Later tonight, the Chicago Cubs will square off against the first of three straight Dodger lefties, Tyler Anderson. The Cubs last faced Anderson on May 7, and although they didn’t win that game, Nico Hoerner (double), Seiya Suzuki (triple), and Willson Contreras (triple, homer) each took him for extra bases. Here’s David Ross’ Cubs lineup for the rematch in Hollywood.
Chicago Cubs Lineup:
- Christopher Morel, 2B
- Ian Happ, LF
- Patrick Wisdom, 3B
- Seiya Suzuki, RF
- Nico Hoerner, SS
- Yan Gomes, C
- P.J. Higgins, 1B
- Nelson Velázquez, CF
- David Bote, DH
SP: Keegan Thompson, RHP
With a lefty on the mound tonight, Morel is leading off as he has been against southpaws even after his move out of the top spot. He’s playing second base, but David Bote is still in there, playing DH. Hopefully, that shoulder is finally feeling better. He has not looked comfortable since that collision with Nico Hoerner.
P.J. Higgins is in there at first base instead of Alfonso Rivas, and Nelson Velázquez is in there at CF instead of Rafael Ortega.
As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ post closer to game time (9:10 CT).
