Folks, thanks to your generosity to Make-A-Wish, you have earned yourself maximum madness at the 2022 Trade Deadline. You’ve given over $8,500 to support Make-A-Wish’s mission, which means I’m up to 41 straight hours of blogging at the deadline. Time to start formulating my game plan.
The only thing I know for sure is it’ll involve getting up super early on Monday morning and staying up super late on Tuesday night, with no sleep in between. Just lots and lots of caffeine. And trade action, hopefully! Covering the Cubs-Cardinals game after the deadline, when I’m delirious from lack of sleep, sure will be interesting.
That’s not to say we have to stop raising funds for Make-A-Wish and all the incredible work they do! If you want to make a donation, you can go right here. If you folks come up with a good suggestion, and we can figure out an appropriate fundraising level, I’ll make sure to do something else silly and unnecessary and hopefully entertaining. Maybe something while covering the Cubs-Cardinals game?
I am looking forward to, and also not looking forward to, the Blogathon. I am glad you support the cause, though, either way!
Bleacher Nation is partnering with Make-A-Wish® Illinois. The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish cannot accomplish that mission without the help and support of others, and that’s where you came in and did something great.
