I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 41 hours straight, past MLB’s August 2 Trade Deadline and through the Cubs/Cardinals game Tuesday night, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:
Some more minor stuff, from the extra arm the Cardinals got from the Pirates to Noah Syndergaard probably being moved to the Braves getting Robbie Grossman.
Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
I don’t think I can rightly say it’s interesting that nothing happened between 1 am and 4 am, but I do always remember back to many years ago when there was some deal that did break at like 2 am during the Blogathon. Can I remember exactly what it was? Nope. Am I possibly imagining it due to sleep deprivation (either then or now)? Yup. But I’m pretty sure!
Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:
Tooooo reiterate: I suspect the Cubs made considerable headway on trades yesterday, getting various paths and ducks lined up – it’s a bit like the draft, where you have a lot of “if this, then that” trees set up. Makes sense when so much is held up by Juan Soto.
The overnight live stream had a whole lot more:
Current Tiredness Level:
7. Pfft. It’s the tired time. This is usually the worst time, and this year seems to be no exception. A recent shower helped provide a little pep.
Current Caffeination of Choice:

Current Emotional Status:
Good enough to answer about 50 overnight questions on Twitter and another 50 in an AMA here at the site.
Random Thought Passing Through My Mind:
I did a thing, but the cropping on here probably makes it so you can’t even see my stupid non-joke:
