2022 #BNBlogathon Check-In: Hour 26

Chicago Cubs

I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 41 hours straight, past MLB’s August 2 Trade Deadline and through the Cubs/Cardinals game Tuesday night, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

Total Posts So Far:

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:

The rise and shiners are still rising and shining, so there’s not too much to speak of just yet. I did write up a bit on Mychal Givens, Ryan Tepera, and the White Sox. Also, trade predictions from MLB dot com.

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:

Nothing, really. And thus, what’s interesting/terrifying is to think about how much could still happen today in such a short window of time. I will be on overload. With no brain capacity.

Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:

Maybe trade a player or two this morning, Cubs, so that it’s not all cascading at the end. For me, personally, I mean. My sanity.

Current Tiredness Level:

6. I was really bad:

But now I’m a little better:

Current Caffeination of Choice:

It was time to get silly in the late overnight period:

And then I had to walk out for more coffee:

Current Emotional Status:

Ready for something to go down to make me feel feelings again.

Random Thought Passing Through My Mind:

You know, eventually, I won’t be able to do this anymore. Like, not next year or the next, or a decade. But some day, I will literally, physically, not be able to do this. That’s wild.
