It’s bad news that a quality reliever that wasn’t guaranteed to be on the market DID arrive on the market to compete with the Cubs’ bullpen pieces … but it’s good news that he wound up going to a team that hadn’t been explicitly connected to the Cubs.
The Orioles’ selloff continues, with 2.5 years of Jorge Lopez going to the Twins:

So we’ll see what happens with David Robertson and Mychal Givens. The Cubs may prefer package deals, but, whatever happens, you can presume those two will go today.
