Franmil Reyes came to the Cubs with two triples to his name over 481 big league games. He is a slugger, but not really a “triples hitter.”
Well, Reyes has now matched his CAREER TOTAL in triple in just nine games with the Cubs:
That’s Reyes’ second triple in a week, and it drove in one of the Cubs’ three runs in the first. They’d fallen behind initially on an Andrew McCutchen homer off of Keegan Thompson, but a Nick Madrigal Single, a Seiya Suzuki double, the Reyes triple, and an Ian Happ single later, they had the lead in the first.
Franmil Reyes is a man possessed. He just keeps raking with the Cubs.
