Seiya Suzuki has been on a tear for about a full month now. And while this hot streak may have begun with a noticeable lack of power, that has sure changed lately. This is Suzuki’s second homer of the series and 12th of the year.
It also gave the Cubs a late, 8th-inning lead over the Reds!
That blast brings Suzuki’s season line back up to a very respectable .264/.337/.436 (115 wRC+) for the season. It’s been an up-and-down year for the Cubs new right fielder, but he sure seems to be figuring things out as the season winds down. I’m very optimistic about him for next year.
