The Cubs and Giants have a rubber match on tap this evening (if the weather clears up), with John Brebbia acting as the opener for San Francisco. Here’s David Ross’ lineup for the finale in Chicago.
Chicago Cubs Lineup:
- Zach McKinstry, 2B
- Rafael Ortega, CF
- Seiya Suzuki, RF
- Ian Happ, LF
- Franmil Reyes, DH
- Nico Hoerner, SS
- Alfonso Rivas, 1B
- Yan Gomes, C
- David Bote, 3B
SP: Wade Miley, LHP
Nick Madrigal is out, Willson Contreras is out, Chris Morel is out, and Patrick Wisdom is out. What’s left is a Cubs lineup that starts off McKinstry-Ortega, not the strongest top of the order I can imagine. The “starters” do follow, Suzuki-Happ-Reyes-Hoerner, but then it’s back to fill-ins, role players and backups, Rivas-Gomes-Bote.
Ah, well. Who cares. We might see more Hayden Wesneski today, following Miley again? And the Bears beat the 49ers.
As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ post closer to game time (7:08 CT).
