The Cubs Just Released a Drone-Shot Fan Appreciation Video, and It is Awesome

When I first saw this clip come across my timeline, I scrolled right past it. I thought I’ve seen drone fly throughs before, I’ve seen Wrigley Field before. I’m sure it’s cool, but honestly … Whatever.

I could not have been more wrong. This 4:07 clip is absolutely worth every second of your time. It is extremely well done. The video begins with a trip down the red line before pouring into Wrigleyville and actually going THROUGH Murphy’s Bleachers, down Waveland, through a firetruck window, in and around Gallagher Way, past the marquee and into the stadium, up by the lights, through the historic scoreboard, into the front offices and clubhouse, straight through the locker room, past the batting cages, and right onto the field behind Seiya Suzuki running out to right field.

And the best part is the Cubs productions team overlayed some familiar audio at key moments (“Let there be light!”). I’m genuinely blown away and I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy your time.
