He Did It: Aaron Judge Hits Homer Number 62

For tonight, I just want to enjoy the historic moment and not see people arguing about the “real” home run king or whatever else. Aaron Judge just hit his 62nd homer of the season, becoming the American League single-season record-holder, and one of just four players to hit more than 61 homers in a season.

It’s a big, historic moment, however you want to frame the record. Let’s just celebrate it:

Uh, also … did you see the fan that fell through the railing there as the ball came into the outfield seats? Hopefully that’s not a seriously far fall, because that’s scary.

Now we wait to find out who caught the ball, and what’ll happen to it. That’s gonna be a mighty valuable one, I’d think.
