Kyle Schwarber, in addition to being a heckuva hitter, definitely gives off that “big, rowdy, fun dude” vibe. He seems like the kind of guy who’d be a lotta fun to party with, who might push you to your limits, and who, well, might be all too eager to ride a mechanical bull.
So naturally, after beating the Padres in the NLCS, Schwarber celebrated the Phillies’ win by hopping on the bull and taking it for a fun, just-don’t-hurt-yourself ride:
The tape has Schwarber at about 34 seconds of ride time, which doesn’t sound too bad to me, but the bull didn’t really start getting wild until maybe the 12 second mark. So about 20-ish seconds of legit hold time? Is that decent, or are we saying “stick to your day job” or whatever?
Not that it would be an insult in Schwarber’s case. Whether he can dominate a mechanical bull, we know he can dominate a poorly-placed pitch from a good friend:
Kyle Schwarber will next take his talents to Houston for the World Series, and if the Phillies happen to win the whole dang thing at some point when the series is in Texas, maybe Schwarber will just up and celebrate by riding an actual bull.
I don’t recommend it, though.
