The 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot is Out

With a few of the Steroid Era players rolling off the ballot, after years of silly voting that kept them on to clog things up, this year’s Hall of Fame ballot looks pretty weird. No more Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens. No more Sammy Sosa. Curt Schilling also falls off, albeit for reasons not tied to PEDs.

The 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot:

I don’t think there’s an obvious lock among the new additions, with Carlos Beltran the closest (but possibly tainted in the eyes of many because of his connection to the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal). Still, there are some fun names being added, from R.A. Dickey to Bronson Arroyo to John Lackey to Mike Napoli.
