Farewell, Franmil: Old Friend Has a New Gig

Franmil Reyes was a member of the Chicago Cubs only briefly last year, and he didn’t quite show out like he could have. So it wasn’t a surprise when he was let go after the season, and with the Cubs more or less full up on guys who’ll need DH opportunities, I didn’t have any expectation that he’d be returning. But I sure did find him affable and fun.

All the best of luck to Reyes with the Kansas City Royals this year:

Hopefully the Royals can get Reyes listed, officially, as a two-way player. You don’t want to have to use an arm like this only in extreme blowouts:
