Ever See a Runner Score on a Sac Fly … From SECOND BASE?

Ahh…Spring Training. The time for sun, beer, veterans showing up in the best shape of their lives, and, of course, baseball plays you never-ever see during the regular season.

In today’s Grapefruit League matchup between the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox, Caleb Hamilton scored on a sac fly to deep center field from SECOND BASE. And no, there wasn’t a throwing error or a trip or anything like that. He just busted his a** right away, likely because of how deep the ball got into center field, and caught DaShawn Keirsey Jr. off guard.

That’s one way to leave an impression on a team you’re hoping to make, Mr. Hamilton. Nicely done.

The Cubs Are Finally “Calling Up” Brennen Davis, But You Won’t Be Seeing Him Play

This is about as anticlimactic - downright sad, actually - as a first ever call up to the big leagues can possibly be. Long-time Chicago Cubs prospect Brennen Davis has finally been "called up," but the move is entirely procedural....
