New Cubs Slugger Edwin Rios Just Sent One to the Moon

The main selling point on late-offseason signing Edwin Rios was his prodigious power.

Recent health issues? Yes. Questionable defense? Sure. High strikeout rate? Definitely. But big, big power.

So it was nice to see it tonight, with this MOOOOONSHOT he just hit:

Definitely never even saw that thing come down. Rios is not a lock to make the roster out of Spring Training – he has minor league options remaining – but if the Cubs want to have additional lefty power available, he’s going to have a good shot.
