Cubs vs THE ENTIRE NATION OF CANADA: Cubs Lineup, Pitching Matchup, How to Watch, More
The Chicago Cubs (8-4) have won SEVEN games in a row and have the second most wins in the Cactus League (maybe don’t look at the team in first, if you have hopes that this is meaningful signal).
Today’s game is of the exhibition variety – so it’s like, double fake? – with Team Canada coming to Sloan Park to face the Cubs, as Canada prepares for the World Baseball Classic.
The Canadian lineup isn’t out quite yet, but I’m really hoping Cubs outfield prospect Owen Caissie draws a start against his org-mates. That’d be fun.
Chicago Cubs Lineup:
- Nico Hoerner, 2B
- Dansby Swanson, SS
- Ian Happ, LF
- Trey Mancini, RF
- Cody Bellinger, CF
- Eric Hosmer, 1B
- Patrick Wisdom, 3B
- Edwin Rios, DH
- Tucker Barnhart, C
SP: Justin Steele, LHP
Justin Steele gets spring start number two, and like the first time out, you just want to see him stay healthy and continue stretching out. Results are very secondary.
