Hooray! Nico Hoerner is back from his very brief stint on the shelf with some bicep soreness. It didn’t seem particularly serious, but I’d be lying if I wasn’t clenching a bit, anxious to see how quickly he’d return. I think his presence in today’s lineup is a very good sign that all is well.
Other than that + Wisdom and Gomes, this is like a full-on “Last chance to earn your place on the active roster” group. Pick your poison, Cubs fans. These are your options.
