Ian Happ Just Homered on the 9th Pitch of His At Bat

That was so awesome to see. Brandon Woodruff is a tough pitcher who isn’t going to give in. So Ian Happ battled him for nine pitches, grinding his way to something he could drive.

And he got just enough of it to get it out:

That’s the Cubs’ first homer of the year, and it feels appropriate for it to be one of the few guys who’s been around for a while.
