The Cubs kicked off tonight’s game exactly like you’d want to see it, with Nico Hoerner and Dansby Swanson singling, and then Ian Happ coming to the plate with two on. And since Ian always rakes in Cincinnati, he … struck out.
BUT! Cody Bellinger did not strike out:
It’s still so beautiful when Bellinger connects with one. Here’s hoping he does that quite a bit more with the Cubs this year. They’ll need it outside of Cincinnati, too.
