Patrick Wisdom is Getting X-Rays After That Hit By Pitch (UPDATE)

As you needed more to enjoy from tonight’s crap game, Patrick Wisdom is off to get X-rays after getting hit by a pitch on the wrist earlier tonight.

You’ll note that Wisdom stayed IN the game after the HBP, was asked to bunt during a critical 7th inning at bat, and then later singled in the 9th. It seemed unwise in the moment, and now that we know Wisdom is still feeling it enough after the game to get X-rays, well, I don’t quite see why he wasn’t pulled.

Now we just have to hope nothing is broken and that he isn’t too sore the rest of this week. The Cubs can cover third base, yes, but the guy is one of the few big power sources on the team. Tonight is awesome.

UPDATE: This is a relief, though it does make the bunt even weirder:
