Boo – Cubs and Reds Rained Out
No series finale today between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds, with storms present throughout the day.
The game has been postponed, and will be made up as part of a double-header on September 1. That’s arguably not ideal for the Cubs, who need to bank many wins in the first half of the season as possible to avoid a sell-off in July. But it’s one game … surely that won’t be the difference come July 31, right?
The off-day tomorrow means no Cubs baseball for two more days. They open a series at home Friday afternoon against the Texas Rangers.
