Enhanced Box Score: Rangers 8, Cubs 2 – April 9, 2023
I wasn’t able to watch today’s Cubs game because of the holiday, and it kinda looks like I was better off not. It seems Jameson Taillon was once again not quite at his best, though the defense behind him didn’t help. Javier Assad followed Taillon by getting knocked around, and the Rangers did today to the Cubs what the Cubs did yesterday to the Rangers.
Alex Rios hit a two-run homer, but that’s about it on the highlight front today.
Cubs win the series, but losing on Sunday always leaves a sour taste.
