Even after a set of rules changes and a global pandemic, people still like to come out to the ole ballpark and watch the ole baseball team throw around the ole baseball.
This weekend saw the most fans come to MLB games in April or May since all the way back in 2017:
Good weather across the country assuredly helped, but when you see the most well-attended early-season baseball weekend in over six years, it’s worthy of mention. Especially given the attendance trends we were seeing across MLB even before the pandemic.
Speaking of which, as you can see in the tweet, the 45-game weekend slate was the highest attendance for any weekend since the summer before the pandemic. I’m sure that’s music to MLB’s ears after the last few years, and it’s exactly what you would WANT to see for people: to be back out there enjoying baseball, live and in the ballpark.
Now, how about even more affordable tickets and promotions to get those attendance figures even higher, eh?
